What was Poetry Soul Train?  

Poetry Soul Train was a 24hr Twitterfest starting on New Year's Eve 2021.The idea was to send words around the world celebrating being human. Everyone was welcome to get on board.

Who got the train going? 

In December 2020, I created Connection Fest with the support of the Camerados. I wanted to do something again at the end of 2021 and came up with the idea as part of the Camerados 'Xmas Can Be Crap' activities.

What happened? 

Lots of people shared poems. Some of these were by known poets, including Maya Angelou, Michael Rosen and Spike Milligan, but many dared to share their own poems - some being written during Poetry Soul Train! These were reflective, moving, fun and powerful in equal measure.
